Roberts Business Furniture has been the trusted office furnishing partner for Puget Sound area businesses for over 25 years. Locally owned and operated, we have focused on community programs since our inception.
A long-time supporter of the United Way, Roberts Business Furniture wanted to do more to benefit the community by giving employees the opportunity to donate their time and talents during the workday. Through our unique community service program, each employee is encouraged to invest time with an organization, group, or project that will be the most personally rewarding to the employee.
Commitment levels vary from 40 to 80 hours annually with seniority determining the number of hours for each employee. Ideally, all volunteer hours fall during the regular business day, but if an employee opts to volunteer in the evening or on the weekend they will be compensated with time at a later date. In addition, a group volunteer activity is scheduled at least once a year to help get everyone involved at some level and to stimulate interest in the program.
Some of the organizations to which Roberts Business Furniture employees have donated their time include Bellevue School District VIBES Program, Lake Washington Technical College, PAWS, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, Adopt-A-Stream, South County Senior Center, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, King County Parks, and Dress for Success.
